Privacy policy

FlowAd is operated by Cloudemy Digital Technologies Pvt. Ltd., of Diamond City Plaza, Jankipuram, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226021, India. In this policy “we” means that company. We decide why and how your personal data is used, which makes us the data fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and we also respect the data protection laws that apply where you live. FlowAd is in a pre-launch stage. This policy covers the waitlist, the public website and the accounts we currently allow. We will update it before we open the product more widely.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist

Your email address, the kind of business you told us you run if you chose to say, the page you signed up from, and the time. Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated sign-ups from one place and is not stored with the entry.

If you create an account

Your email address and either a password or a Google sign-in. Sign-in is handled by Google’s Firebase Authentication, so we never see or store your password. We also set a session cookie so that you stay signed in.

What you give the product

Website addresses you enter, business details you type, files you upload such as a logo, images or video, and what FlowAd creates for you: scripts, voiceover, project files and finished ads. If you ask FlowAd to read a website, it fetches that site’s public pages.

If you answer the price poll

The prices you type, your current spend and how you would rather pay if you chose to say, the language you read the poll in, and the country your request appears to come from, worked out from your connection and timezone. Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated answers and is not stored with your answer. The poll does not ask for your name or email.

Technical data

Standard server logs, such as request time, address and browser type, kept for security and for fixing faults.

Why we use it

• To tell you when your access opens. This is the only reason we hold a waitlist email.
• To set prices, using the answers to the price poll.
• To run your account and to build, store and deliver the ads you make.
• To keep the service secure and to stop abuse.
• To answer you when you write to us.
• To meet legal duties.

We rely on your consent, which you give when you submit the waitlist form or create an account, and on the limited legitimate uses the Act allows. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us.

Who else handles your data

We use service providers to run FlowAd. They process data on our instructions.

• Google, for Firebase Authentication, the database and file storage, and for the language model that helps write scripts.
• Cloudflare, for storing and serving template previews and library media.
• ElevenLabs and similar speech services, which receive the script text so that they can generate a voiceover.
• An email delivery service, to send the launch email when your access opens.

Some of these providers process data on servers in other countries. We choose providers that protect data to a reasonable standard, and we do not send them more than they need to do the job. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

Cookies

We set one cookie, a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary and expires after five days. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy before we do.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until we have told you your access is open, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Account data and the ads you make are kept while your account is open. You can ask us to delete your account and its contents at any time. We may keep limited records where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct data that is wrong or out of date;
• erase your data when it is no longer needed;
• respond to a grievance about how we handle your data;
• name another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or cannot act for yourself.

Write to info@cloudemy.in from the address on your account or waitlist entry, so that we can confirm it is you. If we do not resolve your grievance, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Files and records sit with the providers above under access rules that limit them to the account that owns them and to our administrators. No system is perfectly secure, and if we learn of a breach that affects you we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

FlowAd is for businesses and is not aimed at anyone under 18. Please do not join or sign up if you are younger.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it applies.
